Let’s cut right to it – if you live for first tracks and powder days, the next two winters in Deer Valley are about to blow your ski socks off. Last weekend, helicopters flew in to install lift towers for the new Revelator Express chair on Park Peak. Seeing a bird’s‑eye view of those towers dropping into place made me giddy for winter – and I’m rarely giddy.

The Revelator Express will span 4,000 feet with 16 towers and a 4.33‑minute ride time. When it opens this winter, it will be one of seven new lifts debuting alongside 80 new runs. By the 2025‑26 season, Deer Valley’s “Expanded Excellence” project will have added a total of 10 new lifts and nearly 100 runs, boosting our skiable terrain to 4,300 acres. Translation: more powder stashes, more bluebird groomers, and no more elbow‑to‑elbow lift lines.

Why This Matters (And What’s Next)

  • New terrain = more variety. From long cruisers to steep glades, the new runs will double the acreage currently offered.
  • East Village Express Gondola. Scheduled for the 2025‑26 season, this gondola will link the new terrain to Park Peak.
  • Day‑Skier Parking. East Village will include 1,200 day‑skier spaces, plus improved highway access, shaving your airport‑to‑snow time down to around 40 minutes.
  • Salute to Service & Luxury Lodging. The Grand Hyatt Deer Valley opened last year, reserving 100 of its 381 rooms for active‑duty and retired military members at deeply discounted rates, and more hotels are on the way.

Insider Tips

  • Start planning now. If you’re eyeing property near the new lifts, check out our candid take on Upper Deer Valley real estate. Inventory is tight, and ski‑access homes aren’t getting cheaper.
  • Get the gear ready. With so many new runs, 2025/26 is the perfect year to upgrade your skis and lock in a season pass.
  • Stay tuned. I’ll keep a close eye on lift construction and drop periodic updates. Expect more behind‑the‑scenes peeks, plus a deep dive into the East Village Express gondola once the towers start going up.
